Mangalore:A mammoth crowd was gathered at the Nehru Maidan to witness the end of Year of Faith in the Mangalore Diocese on Sunday November 24.
The Faith Convention, organized as a part of the concluding ceremony of the Year of Faith, by the Mangalore Diocese came to an end with the solemn mass in the presence of more than ten thousand devotees gathered from all corners of the Diocese.
The Bishop of Mangalore Most. Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul Dsouza was the main celebrant of the solemn mass, along with the Bishop of Syro-Malankara Puttur Diocese Rt. Rev. Dr Geevarghese Mar Divannasios in the presence of more than two hundred priests of various Denominations of the diocese.
The Bishop in his message gave the call to transform the world through the Faith of Jesus Christ. He said 'Be the light of the world; Through the Treasure of Eucharist, propagate the word of God among all the people of the world. Let the year of faith transform this generation into the generation of prayer and exemplary living.'
In prior to the solemn mass an adoration session was conducted by Rev. Fr. Frankline D’souza, the National ICYM Director and a meaningful sermon on the propagation of Faith Year by Rev. Fr. Ronald Cardoza.
